"Newborn" pics

I think his eyes are going to stay blue... YAY!!!

Auntie Beth and I finally coordinated schedules and took his "newborn pictures". He's only 2 mon old. He has grown 2 inches and now weighs 13 lbs. 5 oz. He is still a great baby. Except he was grumpy for his pics. Don't worry, my kids eventually grow out of that. But I had to hold him almost the whole time or he cried. Very unlike him. And it was over cast, just our luck. But there were some good ones!!

Thank you Auntie for these pics that I stole from your blog!

Annie mowing lawn

I know, we can hardly stand it! She's so cute!!! And if you think I'm bad, Eddie is ten times worse, she has him wrapped around her little finger. He still manages to battle with her when she's being naughty, but when she pretends to be asleep so he'll carry her in from the car, forget about it!!

First Day of School

These pictures leave me speechless...

These pictures are almost comical right? And someday(can you start a sentence with 'and'?) I'll look back and have fond memories? The real problem is I think it was my fault. They were expecting a picture, but I put gel in the boys hair, which they hate. And I guess it made them grumpy. So I told John, it's really just for pictures, but I also meant to say, rather I should have also said it was for the first day of school, because right after the pics, their hair looked like this:

which is how it always looks, no gel. The little darlings went and combed it out. I didn't even style it that well. Mostly because they are walking away from me the whole time and I am having to practically attack them to get it off my hands. Sheesh, as my sister Shyla would say.

My friend Katie has them hold up how many fingers for the grade they are going to be in and I loved the idea and forgot. I can't believe it. I don't know how to remember for next year.

Teila is with her good friend Savanna again and their are several wonderful girls in her class. At a brunch we had a few other moms and I were talking and we all kinda teared up talking about Teila and this bunch of girls that are so sweet to her. I'm thankful for a Heavenly Father that has blessed Teila with such great friends.
John's day was fine, normal I think. He didnt' have much to say about it.
When I went to drop off Joey he had to get a drink and John went one way and Joe the other. I had to practically yell at John to get him to say good bye and when I turned back around Joe was halfway to his class. I guess he wasn't scared. When we talked about it he said school was good but kinda boring. He has a friend Ben in there from preschool and I think it'll be trouble. According to Joseph the teacher yelled at them to get back in their seats and snapped her fingers. As he was imitating this he kinda got a little half smile. Well what can you do, he is one stinkin' cute kid.

We had a great summer. Even with the baby. Daniel is so easy, I was able to sleep enough at night to not need a nap. And with Auntie Hannah and family to help me out when I needed it, I had a great summer. We had a lovely routine of me sleeping in till 8 then getting up eating my bowl of cheerios, honey nut of course, and then turning off the TV/computer and putting the kids to work, doing chores and doing some educational type stuff so they didn't forget. Swimming at my mom's pool in the late afternoon/evening, a couple camping trips, my yearly trip to Old Navy for their 50% off clearance and I just enjoyed my kids. Except the last week. I was done with them. They were ready for school which made me ready for them to go to back to school.

Ahh, Life is pretty good! Even with the stresses.

Heidi and Teila

This is my dear friend Heidi who loves Teila. And I LOVE this picture of the two of them. Heidi just posted on FB and I stole it. Heidi used to be Teila's primary teacher a couple years ago, and Teila has never forgotten her, even when she moved to Utah. Teila used to sit with her every sacrament meeting. Ah, those were the days. We love you Heidi! Thanks for being such a great friend to both of us!!

Angela's girls holding Daniel

I failed to mention that on our campout, I stayed with at my sister Karen's house in Taylor during the night. Like I'm going to bounce the baby to sleep outside in the great outdoors, Pa- lease! Her house is always so comfy and pleasant to go to. This is my niece Angela who is due with her first boy in about 6 weeks. These are her daughters Trinity in blue and Eliana holding the baby. I have posted pics of them before. Trin and Joe are the same age and Elli and Annie are the same age. And now Daniel and Cruz will only be a couple months apart. I have another niece Tay who is due with a boy in Oct I think. I'm so lucky, it is so fun to have babies with your nieces!! Thanks Karen for letting Beth and I stay over!!!
Uncle Dan came even though he has a scout campout all this week. So he had to do a little prep while at our campout. The kids all had a great time making rope from what Uncle Dan rigged up. You should be able to see why we named our kid after him. What a cool uncle!!

This is our camping trip we took this last weekend. We went close to Willow Springs Lake just before Forest Lakes. It was very pretty and beautiful weather. We got out of the heat and had a great time.
Eve, Will's daughter, eating licorice. No campout would be complete with out licorice for the Jarmans.

Uncle Dan holding Daniel

It hailed on us, it was crazy. Beth and I enjoyed a bit of summer rain and it was very pleasant. Then the next day we experienced this: Hail the size of marbles. The pics just don't do it justice.
Please notice Mom J. without shoes... Eddie had to dig a trench because our tent felt like a water bed when you stepped on it.

Auntie Beth, Alicia, (Robert's wife), cousin Hiedi talking to Hannah

Steven and William, Two peas in a pod these two.

We will hopefully be able to go camping one more time before summer is over. But this was a great trip. No pics on the lake, maybe I'll feel like it next time. Sometimes taking pics is a chore.

Danny and Family

Daniel and his namesake, Uncle Dan who we love very much.

Danny/Daniel is 3 WEEKS TODAY!!! These pictures are mostly just for archiving. Danny and several family members. He is still a good baby. If he "doesn't" sleep at night that means I have to wake up every 3 or 4 hours. He likes to sleep in the morning when the kids are getting up and usually I can sleep with him a bit until the kids come in so often I just get up. Even when he is up he's easy going. Is happy just to look around. Sometimes you have to move him around a little bit and give him something else to look at, but some of you know, that's no big deal compared to some kids that you really have to work to make them happy. You can move him around when he's sleeping and he doesn't care. He takes a pacifier sometimes, yeah!! He gets a little bubbles in his tummy and can't get rid of them very easily and that makes him wake up or squirm a bit. Maybe it's those Pepsi's... I know he may not stay this way, I'm realistic about that, but I have enjoyed these first 3 weeks. It seems like forever ago that I had him. I'm telling you these easy babies, almost make me consider doing this again... you know sometime... in the future.

My sister Susan

Niece Jayme (Kristen's daughter)

Auntie Mary

Auntie Hannah

Annie and Danny... still don't know about that rhyming situation

Megan, (Kristen's) and Uncle Steve

Opal and Anja- she LOVES babies, Anja that is

I just like this picture because I don't have huge dark circles under my eyes like in my hospital pictures.

Our latest addition!!

Daniel Dean Jarman is the name we choose. He is named after Eddie's wonderful Uncle. Everyone has a preference on what they want to call him. Danny, Daniel but probably not Dan. He was born Monday June 14th, 6 DAYS LATE and we had to make him come with an induction. Here's the killer information, he was 9 pounds 14 ounces. That's why I felt like that...
I cried for about 10 min afterward feeling overwhelmed and not ready to take care of a newborn, but I have to admit as soon as they let me hold me it ALL went away. He's not even too bad of a baby for being 5 days old. We'll see what comes. He was nearly 23 inches tall and I measured his foot yesterday and it was almost 4 inches long! That is beyond ridiculous. The newborn diapers looked like a Speedo on the poor child, so I had to take those back and get some #1's.

He was my quickest induction, just a few hours, and has been my best recovery. I went home the next day. Grandma Jarman has taken the kids, so it's just been me and Daniel because Eddie has been working. I'm feeling good and am being well taken care of besides being a little lonely during the day and bored because I don't feel like doing anything!

More professional pictures will be taken if Auntie Beth ever returns home from England (she left Monday morning about the time I went to the hospital, I hope she's not bitter about that.)
And of course more updates as I feel like it!

3 WEEKS TO GO!!!

Love is in the air for the Jarman's. Tim is getting married this Sat. and his brother Robert, with a speedy engagement of 7 weeks, is getting married 4 days before my due date! It is May, and if you have kids you know that May sucks. But at least little league is over. Eddie is trying to close on a house so he is working hard which is fine. I find a nap and food do wonders. But lately I just cry whenever I need to anyway. I can usually gear myself up. Mom Jarman is worried about me, but I told her just because I cry all the time doesn't mean anything. It's just hormones. I can't help it. Yesterday Teila had a little music/ dance performance that she has been working on all semester. I WAS prepared mentally for Eddie not to be there, then I was trying to video tape and Annie was crying because the wind was blowing (she's been seriously sick since Wed. with the flu. Well seriously dehydrated, we almost took her to the ER, but finally got her to hold liquids down on Sat.) Anyway, so she still wasn't 100%. So I was holding Annie and Eddie walked up. I had to fight back tears I was so happy to see him. I told him when we got home he can't sneak up on my like that at a function I wasn't planning on him being at. I just can't handle it. That's the kind of state I'm in.

A couple nights ago Annie got in bed with us, between us, and I somehow got all the pillows. At least the good one Eddie sleeps with and I slept so well. So I took all the pillows again, except for the cheap flat one we've probably had since we were married, but it didn't work as well last night because Eddie tried to share and he was frankly in my space.

I was looking through some stuff I got from the hospital, etc. and saw a normal body and my body now, and all I have to say is no wonder. No wonder!

I think I can do it though. I mean other people have right? But seriously I think, "What the heck was I thinking!?!?!" However, I am excited for a new little baby, esp. after buying my new glider.

Check back this weekend to see Teila's talent show of "The Single Ladies". It will be fabulous!!
