First Day of School

These pictures leave me speechless...

These pictures are almost comical right? And someday(can you start a sentence with 'and'?) I'll look back and have fond memories? The real problem is I think it was my fault. They were expecting a picture, but I put gel in the boys hair, which they hate. And I guess it made them grumpy. So I told John, it's really just for pictures, but I also meant to say, rather I should have also said it was for the first day of school, because right after the pics, their hair looked like this:

which is how it always looks, no gel. The little darlings went and combed it out. I didn't even style it that well. Mostly because they are walking away from me the whole time and I am having to practically attack them to get it off my hands. Sheesh, as my sister Shyla would say.

My friend Katie has them hold up how many fingers for the grade they are going to be in and I loved the idea and forgot. I can't believe it. I don't know how to remember for next year.

Teila is with her good friend Savanna again and their are several wonderful girls in her class. At a brunch we had a few other moms and I were talking and we all kinda teared up talking about Teila and this bunch of girls that are so sweet to her. I'm thankful for a Heavenly Father that has blessed Teila with such great friends.
John's day was fine, normal I think. He didnt' have much to say about it.
When I went to drop off Joey he had to get a drink and John went one way and Joe the other. I had to practically yell at John to get him to say good bye and when I turned back around Joe was halfway to his class. I guess he wasn't scared. When we talked about it he said school was good but kinda boring. He has a friend Ben in there from preschool and I think it'll be trouble. According to Joseph the teacher yelled at them to get back in their seats and snapped her fingers. As he was imitating this he kinda got a little half smile. Well what can you do, he is one stinkin' cute kid.

We had a great summer. Even with the baby. Daniel is so easy, I was able to sleep enough at night to not need a nap. And with Auntie Hannah and family to help me out when I needed it, I had a great summer. We had a lovely routine of me sleeping in till 8 then getting up eating my bowl of cheerios, honey nut of course, and then turning off the TV/computer and putting the kids to work, doing chores and doing some educational type stuff so they didn't forget. Swimming at my mom's pool in the late afternoon/evening, a couple camping trips, my yearly trip to Old Navy for their 50% off clearance and I just enjoyed my kids. Except the last week. I was done with them. They were ready for school which made me ready for them to go to back to school.

Ahh, Life is pretty good! Even with the stresses.

You'd never guess by those faces that they were ready for school! I can't believe they combed out their hair, Funny boys! It's kinda wierd that sending them to school seems normal...
I'm glad life is good :) I think life is pretty good too... most days... I just can't wait to not be pregnant anymore. It really extra sucks today :/
By the way, the 24th was really good! Alot of hard work, but mine and Susan's booth did good and so did Alex's! I think we learned alot too about what we'd like to do next year.

I would offer to remind you, but I know I can't promise such things for a year from now :)

Love the pictures. I am so glad that Teila has such great friends. She is so sweet! I'm glad you had a great summer and that you are doing well.
