Spring Break at Roosevelt Lake

During Spring Break Eddie and half of his siblings went on a camp out to Roosevelt Lake. Annie and I missed this trip due to a very high fever Annie had. But we did get to spend a lot of time with Mom. There were some mishaps on the trip. Like not many trees for shade, Mom J's car broke down, I forgot to pack the meat for the tin foil dinners... However, Eddie says he can't really have a bad time camping. And it sure looks like they had a fun enough time!!

Auntie Hannah and Joseph

Johnny

Joey looking very cute with lots of dirt.

If you notice little Joey in the back round I would like to say, that this is in no way a reflection of my parenting. I was not there and therefore did not have control of these special little circumstances that pop up. And thanks to Auntie Lydia it was caught on photo. But like I said, I take no responsibility. Like Eddie says, he does have 2 Grandpa's that were plumbers. Somethings you just can't fight.

I don't think Joey's stick is totally on fire... Besides, Eddie looks very busy.

Kayak pics again!

Have our 6 year old ride the rapids? Why not? Let's live a little.

Ok, well maybe not rapids, but he's barely six!! Come on honey! Eddie was so proud Johnny did as well as he did in that Kayak. Apparently, he might give Eddie a run for his money. He did really well going down by himself. Eddie looks forward to the competition.

Eddie 'shooting the rapids' in the dam they built.

This Joey trying his hand at the Kayak. He's barely 4!! Who could ask for anything more.
Teila was Eddie's little right hand girl.

She loved collecting these rocks.

Johnny helping pick up camp.

Joey... well, I'm sure he was looking for something to help pack up. Never mind the sleeping bag and blanket he's standing on.

Sleeping on a tarp under the stars... It sounds pretty nice, but I can't say I'm sad I spent the night in Shyla's bed.
Roosevelt Dam
Word on the street was that Eddie was quite obsessed about the dam.

I'm sure it was pretty cool. So they saw the dam...

And then made their own

Uncle Robert's idea. Nothing like team work. We're such good parents to teach such great values.

Cuter brothers? I don't think so. Who cares if Joe's grip around Johnny's neck is probably as tight as a boa constrictor. He's just spreadin' the love.
