4th of July in Taylor

A couple years ago we decided to make a day trip to visit my sister Karen (cute coral outfit) in Taylor, AZ to see the fireworks. Everyone thought we were crazy to wake up early and come home late, but I'll tell you we would do it EVERY year. We get to hang out with family, escape the heat, avoid traffic, and see awesome fireworks, up-close and personal, while playing at the park and having a picnic!

This year, we were camping so a day trip wasn't needed, but all the Jarman's came, and no I didnt' get a pic, partly because of laziness and mostly because we were never all together at the park until dark, but it was, again, AWESOME!

We spent the night and my neice Matti (far left) did the girls hair. Something I never do. They loved it and looked so cute, thanks Matti!

WE LOVE CAMPING WITH FAMILY!!!

We headed up for a family campout on Thurs. afternoon, little did we know that they had closed the forest a couple days before. Lucky for us, my sister has a nice lot in Forest Lakes that she let us camp on. The weather was FABULOUS, esp. considering we just missed the transformer blowing in Mesa and 118 degree weather. It was a lot of fun...as always.

Uncle Will and the kids made this really cool fort, Will even slept in it with Opal.

Below is my little Danny, livin' the good life!

This is how Danny pretty much treats any little "friend", but no worries, this cutie is obviously used to it by his older sister~

It's hard to tell but the pic with all the trees if you look for orange really high right in the center, that's Steven, he just shimmied on up.

Auntie Mary playing frisbee with Teila

Annie with cousin Eve (Will's #2)

A favorite past time of cards. (Careful, Jarman's are cut throat)

Anyone who knew Annie a couple years ago, will just laugh at this one. This face used to be her normal face.

Life with Joey

Today Joey did a little painting. He gave it to me and this is what went down:

"It's a Love Ray" and if you point it at Daddy he'll fall in love with you."
"Daddy's already in love with me."
"Then he'll fall in love with you more."

Last night he wanted to go to bed and said to me "will you come scratch my back?"
Me: "Sure."
Joey: "OK, take all the time you need."

Happy Anniversary to Us!!!

(this is our actual engagement photo. Eddie proposed to me in this very phone booth made by his sister Beth. In front of a gorgeous house in Lehi. I love this picture even if my eyebrows are a little bushy.)

Yes, it is our anniversary today. Celebrating 12 wonderful happy years together. We woke up at 4:30am (after Danny woke up every hour..figures) and went canoeing at Saguaro Lake and watch the sunrise on the water. Then we went out to breakfast at Village Inn. I know Village Inn right, yes we were the youngest people there, but we like it. This is our favorite holiday!

If you are seconding guessing about our undying love in this picture, it doesn't do our feelings justice.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!!

Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a very nice Mother's Day. I know mine was wonderful.

So when you have little ones you get some memorable gifts, esp. when they have to describe you. So this is what my boys came up with.

According to Joey I have BLACK hair Blue eyes.
My favorite color is ALL COLORS
My fav food is VEGETABLES
If he could give me something special just from him it would be a DOG
I help him by CLEANING ROOM
and in front is this totally posed pic w/ his hand under his chin.
LOVE IT!!

So Johnny's says:
I like being with my mom when: she is home
If I could give my mother something special just from me it would be a:new car
The funniest thing I ever saw my mom do was: picking me up from scouts wearing an apron
My mother helps me most when: I am hurt
My favorite thing about my mother is: she is a good cook
My mother's favorite place is:home
My mother likes to: rest
My mother looks prettiest when: we're in church
My mother is special because: she is a child of God
I like it when my mother: is at school
My mother's favorite recipe is: strawberry pie
My mother's favorite food is: ice cream

Then Johnny wanted to make something 'useful' for cub scouts and decided to make me a jewlery box. So he and Eddie and went out on Sat, and Eddie started and John said, "no like this, with the lid opening this way." And so it was. He is only 8 and designed and did the work himself. It is useful and really cool.

By the way: my eyes are hazel, my fav color is blue, I make myself eat vegetables, ice cream is ok, but at least they didn't say Pepsi, and I have too many kids to think about a dog.

Just because I LOVE them

We are lucky to have wonderful Aunties in our family. I was just able to capture a moment with one special Auntie Mary

Some of these show Annie's scowl, which she flashes at the Freestone Family Parties often. And the last one is just funny to me. At least Mary's not picking her nose.

For Beth

Beth- you mentioned on your blog a couple weeks ago that you were worried about your house. Well I was there yesterday and want you to put your worries to rest. Who could worry with these 4 hunky guys working on it?

Johnny's baptism

It is so cliche to say "I can't believe my baby is growing up!" but there's a reason why people say it. It's exciting when they start hitting those big milestones. Now I know half of you have already seen this on my sis in laws blog, well lucky you to look at this very handsome boy twice!!

A few personal favorites of his. Having opinions, cub scouts and looking all grown up!
Thanks Auntie for the pictures! I don't know what people do without an Auntie Beth???

Our little players!

I love the spring time! For our family, its the perfect weather for sitting at baseball/softball games. Little League is wonderful and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Who couldn't love this?!?!?!
I feel so proud of my little players, it's a bit ridiculous actually. Who knew one could feel this feel way and they are only in LITTLE LEAGUE!!

However, along with the good comes the not so good. Like dinner at 4:30 with games at 5:30 then 7:30 and sometimes 1 in between. The key is preparation to lessen the anxiety. Making sure Danny doesn't put left over cigarette buds is another fun one. One the plus side, they do have a sandpit where the boys play and Annie stays in there the whole time. The down side to that and to having actual players is this:
and feeling it under my feet until I sweep it all up in a little pile. (This is only half of it, some is in my car and the other on the carpet.)

No wonder I wear flip flops ALL the time!

2 weeks down, 3 to go!
