Names

What about Luke? John, Joseph and Jacob? I like it, but there is also a little boy in the ward who is barely 18 mon. named Jacob and I have a cousin who named their kid Jake, which is probably what I could call him. Luke is kinda growing on me. I've never known a not cute Luke... Nothing is decided yet.

I kinda think you should stick with a j- name. I know that limits you, how about jared or jarom?

or jashon? maybe jacom?

Luke is a nice name. I thought about that one, but it was shot down pretty quick. (I wasn't surprised, so you shouldn't be either.)

And when I cut my hair, i had them do a medium length bob so that it is shorter in back and longer in front. Then, voila! Ponytails and short hair come together in blissful harmony! (Though I'm still wishing it was a shorter hair cut. Oh well.)

My only concern about naming your kid Luke is that the next boy will have to be named Matthew, and then Joseph will feel left out because even though he's in the Bible, he's not a gospel.

As far as being cute, Brittany had a crush on a guy named Luke, but Nikki and I didn't like how he dressed. He once wore man-capris to work and his brother was spotted wearing overalls with no shirt underneath and now Luke moved to Russia to live with his girlfriend.

I don't think Jake is out of the picture. We don't see our cousins' kids that often, all names are shared by other kids, and people in your ward come and go. Unless of course, you are worried that these other Jakes would be cuter than your Jake.

I agree with Shyla too, ward kids do change a lot. I like Jacob, but Luke is cute too.
Good luck with your decision!
